What we do
The Editing Cooperative provides English academic editing support for journal articles, research chapters and book manuscripts across all disciplines. All our editors have PhD degrees and decades of combined experience in academic editing, writing, publishing, and research communications. We have worked with researchers from diverse language backgrounds including Portuguese, French, German, Russian, Chinese and Arabic. We will edit your text to the highest standards of academic eloquence, and can offer advice on the organisation and clarity of your publication.
Services
We offer full editing and proofreading services to help with all stages of the writing and publication process: from getting your ideas onto paper to a final proofread before publication. Process
We typically work individually and editors are assigned on a rotating basis, taking into account the topic of the project. If you have worked with a particular editor in the past and have built up a good rapport, be sure to note this in your communication with us and we will try to accommodate you. We are also open to larger collaborative projects.
Rates
Our rates are consistent with those suggested by the Editorial Freelancers Association (US) and the Chartered Institute of Editors and Proofreaders (UK), but we will try to work with you to establish a fair rate as we understand that everyone’s position is different.
